Idemia to provide OLG with Elite lottery terminals in Canada

The global leader in Augmented Identity, Idemia, has extended its partnership with Canadian provincial lottery operator the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG).

The camera-based ELITE-Terminals have been designed to improve the retail experience for both customers and retailers, offering faster processing times for documents such as play slips, receipts and instant tickets. The firm will work with OLG over the next 18 to 24 months to rollout 10,700 new terminals and associated ticket checkers in retail locations.

«Idemia is proud to work once again with Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation and provide them with the next generation of camera-based Lottery Terminals. IDEMIA has a worldwide experience and the ability to implement, integrate, and maintain leading edge solutions in the lottery and gaming industry. To date, more than 60,000 units of ELITE-Terminals have been sold worldwide, showing strong success for this ground-breaking technology», – stated Philippe Larcher, Deputy General Manager for Citizen Identity & Public Security activities at Idemia.

Idemia is also collaborating with Rogers Communication Canada as the telecommunications network services provider, with NCR Canada Corp providing lottery terminal support and maintenance, alongside FDJ Gaming Solutions – its long-term partner, for the delivery of the terminal middleware and associated remote management tools.
