Israel is the current favorite to win this year’s Eurovision

According to most bookmakers, Netta Barzilai from Israel will be a winner of the 63rd annual Eurovision Song Contest in 2018. In Portugal, the 25-year-old singer will present her country with the song “Toy”.

Netta and Israel have been given odds of 15/8 by Betfair, Bet Stars and PaddyPower, while Coral and Ladbrokes says her chances are 7/4. “PariMatch” accepts bets on the victory of Netty Barzelay with a coefficient of 2.75.

Singer Netta, 25, has an extensive background in music and studied at the prestigious Rimon School of Music in the Electronic Studies Department.  Even before yesterday, Netto knew no one, and she herself admits that she dreamed of working as a teacher in kindergarten, but after serving in the army she began to sing cover songs in clubs and restaurants, and in 2017 won the Israeli TV show “The Next Star of Eurovision”. After the Israeli video clip was released to the contest song – in just a week the video watched at Youtube 5 million people, she was christened freak and – for the curvy forms unusual for show business.

According to the bookmakers, the chances of the Israeli representative’s victory are much higher than those of the main competitors: after Netta, PariMatch puts the representatives of Estonia and the Czech Republic, whose odds for winning are much higher – 6.5 and 9.0 respectively.
