Almost a week after the UK Gambling Commission has suspended Stakers Limited’s license, the Malta Gaming Authority took a similar decision. Stakers had been running its website under the Maltese license, but the MGA-enforced suspension means it it’s no longer authorized to carry out any gaming operations, register new players or accept new customer deposit.
The MGA stated that the decision follows the British regulator announcing the suspension of Stakers’ operating license last week over a number of unspecified compliance issues. Stakers which is based in Malta can appeal this MGA ruling. In any case, MGA ordered Stakers to retain and provide all registered players with access to their accounts, as well as paying out all money owed to customers.
