The Esports World Cup (EWC) is bringing its first-ever public festival to Paris, transforming the legendary Champs-Élysées into a massive esports celebration on August 2, 2026. From 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM, this free open-air event will showcase competitive gaming to an audience of over 11.8 million French esports participants and 2 million regular viewers, with the goal of making esports accessible to all.
Co-organized with the Comité Champs-Élysées, the festival will feature a star-studded lineup including France’s top esports pioneers and founders of leading gaming clubs. These personalities will compete in high-energy mini-tournaments across Rocket League, Trackmania, and EA SPORTS FC 26, forming unprecedented mixed teams that blend gaming talent with entertainment appeal.
In addition to the main stage performances, attendees can explore a dedicated Gaming Culture Village offering interactive experiences throughout the afternoon. The village will provide hands-on gaming activities, educational talks with professional esports athletes, and behind-the-scenes looks at elite competitive gaming. This initiative supports the Esports Foundation’s mission to grow esports into a global mainstream sport by expanding its cultural footprint.
The event represents a significant step in esports mainstream acceptance in France, demonstrating how competitive gaming can engage diverse audiences. As the Esports World Cup continues at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles this summer, this open-air festival extends the event’s reach across the city, creating shared experiences that bridge digital and physical communities.
