Sky Betting & Gaming (Sky Bet) affiliate marketing subsidiary Oddschecker Global Media has agreed to acquire London-based live scores and football statistics site WhoScored.com for an undisclosed sum.
“I am delighted to welcome the WhoScored team to Oddschecker Global Media. WhoScored.com is a well-established site with a fantastic product and brand which draws a strong audience in our key target territories,” said Toby Bentall, CEO of Oddschecker Global Media, when confirming the acquisition.
“The acquisition will enhance our strong product offering while the integration will allow WhoScored to leverage our core strengths, thereby delivering growth to both businesses,” added Bentall.
Whoscored.com was founded in 2008 and provides insight and analysis of football data – including live scores, statistics and player ratings – across 500 leagues, 15,000 teams and 250,000 players. The website currently attracts over 300m page views per year and over 3m unique monthly users.
