MGM Resorts signed a contract with NBA

Yesterday in New York, just two and half months after the legalization of the bookmaker business in the US (previously officially authorized in the 3 states), a historic contract was signed!

The National Basketball Association (NBA) for the first time in its history received an official bookmaker partner – MGM Resorts International signed a partnership deal for three years and has a value of $25 million or more.

MGM Resorts will use official NBA and WNBA data and branding, on a non-exclusive basis, across MGM Resorts’ land-based and digital sports betting offerings throughout the United States. In a press release from the NBA announcing the deal, the league said it will work with MGM Resorts to make sure the integrity of NBA and WNBA games is protected, including anonymized real-time data sharing.

“The foremost mission is to maintain and preserve the integrity of the game, the fan experience for the NBA fans, and in fact help catapult further the global presence of the NBA. As a global entertainment company, I feel MGM has an opportunity to partner with the NBA to do that”, – stated MGM CEO Jim Murren.
