PokerStars has announced a new team of streamers who join the ranks to promote the site on Twitch. Soon online poker giant will also be launching the action-packed game, 6+ Hold’em in a tournament format.
After some departures of sponsored players from Team PokerStars, who mostly joined PartyPoker earlier this year, there was a lot of speculation that PokerStars was dialling down their involvement on the Twitch platform.
On Thursday PokerStars has answered it with the announcement of a new team of its ambassadors, all of whom are known on the streaming platform. PokerStars also retained services of Lex Veldhuis, who is considered the biggest name in Twitch poker.
In other PokerStars related news, the company will soon not only be launching the action-packed game, 6+ Hold’em in tournament format, but also has plans to bring back its cash game variants: Showtime and Fusion in multi-table formats.
PokerStars also is looking deeper integration with the UFC brand and has prepared several UFC branded products including the complete rebranding of KO Poker to UFC KO. There is also a possibility of launching a UFC-theme in PokerStars VR, as well as trying out DFS-style games called Perfect Pick and PayDay.
