Casino Interlaken, a Swiss land-based casino located in the south of Bern and owned by Casinos Austria International, secured an online iGaming license from the Swiss gambling regulator Eidgenössische Spielbankenkommission (ESBK) and will be able to offer online casino games in Switzerland.
Casino Interlaken got an initial approval from the ESBK in November of last year, but the casino required final sign-off from the country’s Federal Council (Bundesrat). Now having received all necessary gaming permits it out its new StarVegas.ch website in Switzerland and follows Grand Casino Baden, Casino Davos, Grand Casino Luzern and Casino Zurichsee in securing online gaming licenses, while Grand Casino Kursaal Bern cleare for a license last November, but still is yet to confirm final approval from the Federal Council.
