The National Problem Gambling Clinic in the UK (NPGC) issued a year report, according to which the number of people who turn to the center for help has increased significantly.
Dr. Neil Smith notes that the total number of gamers who turn to NPGC is not so critical in comparison with the proportion of gambling-dependent mobile devices. It is reported that the total number of patients in the clinic increased from 632 in 2012/2013. to 778 in 2016/2017.
At the same time, the share of mobile gambling-dependent people increased from 24% to 63% over the same period.
