Turkey will open a casino to attract Chinese tourists

About 300 million Chinese citizens annually travel to different countries, but only 1 million Chinese people choose Turkey.

The key question is why tourists from China do not visit Turkey in large numbers – the high cost of air tickets. Air companies are not interested in the development of Far Eastern air traffic.

“Tickets from China to Spain and back cost 327 euros. To fly from China to us is 5 times more expensive. Turkish Airlines can’t cope, and we need to find new options”, – said President Hotel Association of Turkey Timur Bayındır.

Ideal location of the future casino Bayindyr sees the island of Yassıada. “On this island a large casino could open, and only foreign passports owners will play it. We are losing Chinese tourists who are going to Bulgaria, Georgia and Romania, because they have a casino, and we don’t have them”.
