Spanish operator licensed in Colombia

Coljuegos regulatory body has issued its eight online gambling license to Spanish operator Luckia. The company recently inked a collaboration agreement with Colombia’s National Corporation of Entrepreneurs of Luck and Chance Games (Cornazar) to expand its retail sports betting operations in Colombia.

The first licensee of the gambling regulator Coljuegos was fortunate to the company operator Wplay.co. Since then, operators of Codere, Corredor Empresarial, GAMING1, Vicca Group and Colbet have started operating on the territory of Colombia.

Since last year, gaming operators are required to have a license, the essence of which is a 15% tax on the company’s total income received from running a gambling business. Coljuegos specialists calculated that in the first years of the licensing system application it is possible to expect more than a solid profit – up to $8 billion.
