ESPN launches sports betting TV show Daily Wager

US sports television network ESPN will launch Daily Wager, a new daily sports betting news and information show. The one-hour program will air Monday through Friday on ESPNEWS at 6 p.m. ET, also streaming live on the ESPN App.

Doug Kezirian, ESPN sports betting analyst, will host the show. He and on-air experts as well as ESPN reporters and analysts will assess analytics and point spreads, with an eye toward how the day’s sports news will affect betting.

ESPN said the introduction of the show reflects the increasingly significant presence of legal betting within the US sports sector.

Norby Williamson, ESPN Executive Vice President and Executive Editor, said: “ESPN’s mission is to serve sports fans. The sports betting environment has changed and interest is increasing at unprecedented levels. ESPN is going to have a strong and vibrant presence across our platforms, and the launch of Daily Wager is the next step in what has already been underway for some time”.
