Facebook will build a data center in Virginia for $1 billion

Facebook will invest $1 billion to build a new data center on solar energy. The construction of a data warehouse in the US state of Virginia is allocated $750 million, and the solar power plant – $250 million. It is planned to fully ensure the operation of the center’s equipment at the expense of solar energy.

This data center will be the eleventh on Facebook’s account and will provide thousands of employees with work. In addition to the center in Virginia, three other similar facilities using renewable energy sources are being built in parallel.
