Football’s coming home

“Football’s coming home!” is a song released in 1996 as a single by The Lightning Seeds to mark the English football federation’s hosting of that year’s European Championships. England is the country where football was born and this song has been following the England National Team fans almost in every tournament in the hope that they will bring some kind of trophy home. Of course, the English National Team did not make it in Russia, last summer, but now, English clubs are ready for 4 out of 4.

But let me say now… “OH MY GOD what a Champions League we are having this year”! On Monday, I wrote “Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are not out yet” and honestly I had a feeling. However, I never expected that it would happen in such an impressive way.

I would like to congratulate all the teams for the amazing games and the spectacular performances. An all English Champions League final on Spanish soil is ahead! Last 5 finals have been won by Spanish teams (and 7 out of 10 in the last 10 years), but English teams are back and they deserve it. And, if tonight, Arsenal and Chelsea go through to the Europa League final, we will have 4 out of 4 from England.

The last thing I want to say for today?

Beware of the Germans!
