GAME Greece 2021 – Day 2 Recap

Eventus International successfully concluded Day Two of the inaugural GAME (Gaming & Affiliate Marketing Expo) Greece today at the beautiful Electra Palace Athens. The 2-day summit has been an all-rounded success, successfully gathering industry leaders from across the globe.

Day Two started off with Chairperson, David Schollenberger, Director, Policy and Compliance at Cyprus Gaming + Casino Supervision Commission, sharing his knowledge and opening remarks. He directly went over into his keynote address, sharing an update on the Cyprus Integrated Casino resort progress and the key provisions of Cyprus gaming law and Cyprus Gaming Commission’s role.

David Schollenberger, Director, Policy and Compliance at Cyprus Gaming + Casino Supervision Commission, had the following to say: “It was a resounding success, with really interesting and relevant discussions, I think all participants found it worthwhile.”

The first panel discussion moderated by John Kalamvokis (Senior Advisor, Business Development, Kaizen Gaming), explored the topic, namely “Successful transition – How technology pushed the transition from land-based to online casino”. Panellists included, Anastasios Belesis (Senior Lotteries Consultant), John- Paul Rowland (Sales Director Europe, Betgames.TV) and Monika Zlateva, (Business Development Manager, EGT Interactive).

Participants enjoyed a refreshing Networking Tea Break thereafter before joining in on the following panel discussion, namely “Channelisation – What is required to keep unlicensed companies out of the markets?”. This panel discussion was moderated by Anny Tzivanaki, Online Operations Director at INTRALOT. Panellists included, Thomi Papoutzi (Legal & Compliance Advisor, Inverto Consulting) and Vasiliki Panousi (Manager of EU Affairs, European Gaming and Betting Association).

Another panel discussion followed, namely “Player acquisition and retention strategies for Greek market”. Giannis Koutivas, Key Account Manager at Kingbetmedia moderated the panel and Panellists included Maria E. Arnidou, Head of Marketing & People Communications at FSI – Fantasy Sports Interactive, Stratos Kanakis, Director, at Golden Ratio Consulting and Vicky Theodorou, Digital Marketing Manager at Fairplay Group for betshop.gr.

After the first half of the day’s sessions, participants enjoyed a Networking Lunch Break before they tuned into an online presentation by Russell Yershon, namely “Value of Sponsorship and Brand Ambassadors for Sportsbooks”. Russell Yershon is the Director at ConnectingBrands.

The last panel discussion of GAME 2021, was moderated by Krister Malm, Founder & Group CEO at Oddsium. He leaded the panel discussion, namely “Emerging trends and innovations in gaming products and technology”. Panellists included Chris Chrisostomidis (VP Platforms and Sportsbook, INTRALOT) and Maria E. Arnidou (Head of Marketing & People Communications, FSI – Fantasy Sports Interactive).

“It was really good to meet such a lot of people in the Greek market. I think it’s going to be the most interesting market in Europe”, said Krister Malm, Founder and Group CEO at Oddsium.
Delegate, Zdenek Llosa (Senior Sales Manager, Endorphina Ltd), had the following to say: “Given all the worldwide restrictions, Eventus International managed to bring together professionals of the Greek market as well as recreate the networking side we missed pre-Covid.
