The Football Association of Serbia (FSS), which operates the Serbian Super League, the First League and the Serbian Cup, announced a partnership agreement with Genius Sports.
Under the terms of the contract, Genius will have the rights to commercialize the data in real time. Genius will also work to protect Serbian football from the threat of fixed matches and related corruption, warning the Football Association of Serbia of any suspicious activity of bets in its competitions through its own rate monitoring system.
FSS general secretary Jovan Šurbatović is convinced that the results of cooperation with Genius Sports will be exceptionally positive.
Steven Burton, managing director of Genius, added: “Technology’s role in unlocking the value of sports data and safeguarding sports against match-fixing is more vital than ever. We are delighted to be partnering with the Football Association of Serbia, growing our global football network and driving their future growth”.
