Maine – the fifteenth American state, legitimized fantasy sports

In the US state of Maine, the daily fantasy sport (DFS) was legalized, classifying it as a “game of skill” – the result of which depends not on luck, but on the individual skill of the participants.

Operators who wish to operate in the state of Maine will have to pay 2,500 dollars to the treasury. It should also be noted that the companies whose income is less than 100 thousand dollars will not be able to serve customers in the state.

For DFS-operators there will be a tax of 10% of gross gambling revenue. It is forbidden to offer competitions for collegial or amateur events. A few days earlier, DFS was legalized in the state of Delaware.
