Through the years the site has been enriched with different sections, not only containing odds, but also free bets, tips, news and casino offers.
If the site is updated
Accuracy and quickness are two of the basic website’s characteristics, giving it a steady visits flow all over the years. Up-to-minute odds changes is the main service and provides the bulk of visitors, who are informed about odds moving in a lot of sports. At the main page menu Football, Horse Racing, Golf, Greyhounds, Politics, Tennis, Rugby Union and Boxing are presented, but there’s also an “All sports” button, providing access to 35 more sports. Free Bets offers are updated regularly. As for the columns, the “Tips” section is updated daily (usually more than once) and there are at least two daily updates in the “Insight” section.

As mentioned before, oddschecker.com has expanded to free bets service as well. There’s a complete “Free Bets” section, containing a list of all UK registered online bookmaker’s latest free bets, special offers and no deposit bets. In the “Casino” section you can find different lists about Free Spins No Deposit, Live Casino, Mobile Casino and New Casino. This looks complete, but I would rather have an option to put offers in order, depended on my own taste. This is not possible, as I could only scroll down searching to find my favorite offer.
If the user experience is good
The “login” service is a big plus for oddschecker.com. You can sign up with your Facebook or Google account, without any money. With this service you can form the main website service (odds comparison) along with your needs. For example, you can choose the bookmakers you’d like to be shown in the lists and your favorite sports/ leagues/ competitions, so you’ll find your preferable odds in shortest time. Above all, the site is easy-to-navigate, with almost all services and offers presented in the front page or just a click away from it. Articles in the “Insight” section are unique and very interesting.
If it’s modern
I couldn’t tell. After all, modernity is not a prerequisite for websites like this. Oddschecker is about 20 years in the business and has been renovated at least five times. There’s not much movement on the website except for advertising banners, and the structure reminds of old-fashioned websites, but this is not a problem for me. Basic colors blue and white invigorate the sense of solemnity, always valuable in websites giving information about placing money.
If it’s social media friendly
A lot of work has been done (and is done daily) in two major social media, Facebook and Twitter. The Facebook page has about 105.000 likes, as there are more than 5 posts daily (without being inconvenient, as there’s at least a six-hour gap between two posts). The Twitter account counts more than 145.000 followers. News presented usually contain the posts at “Tips” and “Insight” sections, but also some major odds movements.
If banner positions are good
Oddschecker.com has a really efficient advertising view, which is obvious at first sight. There’s a pop up window with the three newest free bets offers added to the website. The pop up window content changes regularly. The main front banner, above the main menu, is what a user glances first when visiting the website. But the most entertaining of all is the lateral banners, located at each side. Banners have a lot of movements and catch the eye, as all other content (especially in the odds comparisons lists, which are the most visited areas of the website) is printed in black fonts and not moving at all.

Oddschecker.com has moved forward to cover all betting users’ needs. From an exclusively odds comparison service it has become a complete website, with articles, tips, news and information about free offers not only in betting. It’s reasonable that all these changes have been dictated by profit, but as long as the main service (odds comparison) remains reliable, everyone can handle it.
