Spain will increase the number of gambling licenses

Spain’s gaming regulator Direccion General de Ordenacion del Juego (DGOJ) announced that it will begin accepting new applications from online gambling operators interested in developing the regulated market in Spain.

The legal online gambling market in Spain is developing quite well, and local regulators have decided to issue new licenses for operators.

Senior partner of the consulting company Ficom Leisure Christian Tirabassi, specializing in the international betting and gambling industry, stated: “In the second quarter of 2017, the segment of online casinos grew and sports bets fell. This is due to the end of the football leagues, qualifying rounds, including the Champions League final”.
