The growth rates of gross gambling profits (GGR) in the Macau gambling market are truly impressive. The aggregate total revenue from gross gambling revenue (GGR) in Macau in 2017 increased by 19.1 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 26.26 billion euros.
During the first two months of this year, accumulated casino GGR reached €5 billion, up 19.7 per cent from the previous year. During 2017, the city’s direct taxes from gaming reached €9.28 billion, up 18.2 per cent year-on-year, posting the first annual growth in revenue from gaming taxes following two consecutive years of decline.
The Macao market will continue to receive income from China’s healthy economy, the opening of new resorts and the rapid development of existing facilities.
