The number of illegal casinos is growing in Vietnam

Police in Vietnam’s central Thanh Hoa province have cracked down on an online gambling ring with related transactions worth nearly $62 million, reported local media on Monday.

Ten local people, including four ring leaders, have been detained by the provincial police, and their two cars, four computers, 16 cell phones, and 461 million Vietnamese dong ($20,400) in cash confiscated, according to daily newspaper Tien Phong.

Nevertheless, all gambling except for in government-licensed casinos currently remains illegal in the country.
