UK Gambling Commission publishes new business plan

The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) published its Business plan for 2017/2018 outlining its focus and priorities in key areas for the next financial year.

This year’s business plan will focus on five key areas:

– empower and protect consumers;

– raise standards across all gambling sectors;

– build partnerships and understanding;

– ensure fair play on the National Lottery;

– improve regulation.

Consumers, the industry and public bodies are invited to contribute to the plan by completing an online form before May 5.

«By no means are we starting from scratch with our long-term strategy, but we are calling on all our stakeholders to share their views about how we and our partners can have the greatest impact for consumers – who are at the heart of everything we do at the Commission», – stated UKGC chairman William Moyes.
