The General prosecutor of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko supports the legalization of the gambling business “in the established manner, with the issuance of licenses”.
The politician explained that it is necessary to place such establishments not in villages and cities, and especially not near schools and institutions. According to the Prosecutor General, gambling in Ukraine should have a transparent mechanism of work and be in control of the fiscal service.
It is not the first time when Yuriy Lutsenko lobbies the gambling industry. Last year, he said that the total ban on industry activities is ineffective in its essence, and this year he called on the Ministry of Finance to issue licenses to lottery operators and eliminate unauthorized companies.
