The digital currency was officially introduced to the masses on the Isle of Man. The government of the island saw a potential benefit from bitcoin. With the help of Nick Williamson, the general director of the company Credits, the authorities registered the technology of blocking. They also prepared a legal framework and adopted a number of legislative amendments that relate to the crypto-currency.
Many bitcoin-oriented companies were able to easily open their representative offices on the island. Now the inhabitants of the region can easily find even cafes that print QR-code for payment with the help of bitcoins. And since the Isle of Man is home to many sites that provide gambling services, it’s no surprise that the digital currency has reached this industry.
