Co-founders 888 Holdings, brothers Shay and Ron Ben-Yitzhak, sold 27.8 million of 37.1 million of their shares, earning about £ 109 million.
The sale of shares was carried out according to all the rules of the London Stock Exchange. Sinitus Nominees Limited, the property representative of O Shaked Shares Trust, initiated the sale of 40 million shares on May 31, after which the company will own 46,283,534, representing 12.87% of the total number of shares in 888 Holdings.
As a result, a new wave of rumors arose about the possible takeover of the holding by a major company. Interestingly, previously William Hill made an offer to buy 888 Holdings for USD 1.14 per share, but the Shaked family declined the offer, wishing for a slightly different price – USD 3.82 per share.
