Kambi, NagaWorld sign new multi-year sportsbook deal

Sports betting technology provider Kambi Group announced the extension of its existing partnership with Cambodian entertainment operator NagaWorld Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong-listed casino operator NagaCorp.

The extension will continue to cover NagaWorld and Naga 2, NagaWorld’s two flagship casinos located in Cambodia’s capital of Phnom Penh, with Kambi providing full-suite of retail sports betting products, including self-service betting terminals. The Stockholm-listed company will also increase the selection of live events it supplies to the group.

Thanks to the new deal, NagaWorld is expected to continue its sportsbook growth, which has been steadily increasing year-on-year since signing with the original sports betting provider in 2014. The partnership represents Kambi’s first Asian market agreement.

“We are proud to be extending our deal with NagaWorld, an agreement which highlights the positive impact Kambi’s modern and entertaining retail service can have on casino properties. The NagaWorld sportsbooks have delivered consistent growth since collaborating with Kambi, and we look forward to continuing to enhance NagaWorld’s service offering to its sports betting customers to the benefit of both companies for years to come,” said Kambi’s chief commercial officer Max Meltzer.

Recently, NagaCorp announced that the planned Naga 3 expansion project has recently been approved by the company’s international minority stakeholders. NagaCorp plans to invest $3.5 billion into the development of four 42-story towers that will feature 4,720 hotel rooms, entertainment facilities, retail space, attractions, dining facilities, residences, convention space and multiple amenities.
