Intralot pens contract with New Hampshire Lottery

Greek lottery operator Intralot has confirmed this week that its US subsidiary, Intralot Inc, has signed a contract extension to provide its sports betting solutions to the New Hampshire Lottery Commission.

Under the agreement, Intralot will offer sports wagering at over 1,300 existing lottery retailers in New Hampshire. Intralot that said it expects to roll out the service in early 2020.

“Through this contract amendment to provide our leading sports betting technology, we will power the New Hampshire Lottery and will expand its well-established operation with new and exciting entertainment options while attracting a new demographic of players,” said Byron Boothe, Intralot’s interim chief executive.

Governor Chris Sununu signed legislation in July 2019 authorising the New Hampshire Lottery to conduct sports betting in the state, which will be allowed through as many as 10 physical sportsbook locations, along with mobile sports betting.

A few days ago, the state’s executive council voted to approve a contract between the lottery and DraftKings to set the stage for sports betting to launch.

The cities of Berlin, Claremont, Franklin, Laconia, Manchester and Somersworth already voted in favour of sportsbook locations during recent city elections.
