Gaming halls are reduced in Latvia

A new law on gambling and lottery came into force in Latvia. And as a result, since January 1, 46 gambling halls have been closed all over the country. For a small country like Latvia, the number of gambling establishments per capita has clearly exceeded all conceivable limits.

At the same time, adviser to the Latvian Association of Gambling Arnis Verzemniks states that because of the ban, pedestrian tourism will decrease. And operators can not rely on long-term investments.

One of the injured operators is Olympic Entertainment Group, it will have to close seven halls with slot machines. But nevertheless Olympic Voodoo Casino does not fall under the ban, as it is on the territory of the hotel. The company expressed the opinion that the ban will have a positive impact on their incomes in the future.
