The ban on the activities of the Lottoland team is the result of a major campaign launched by Tatts Group and the Australian Association of Lottery and News Agencies (ALNA) to ban synthetic lotteries throughout Australia.
This decision was made a week after Lottoland launched a marketing campaign to attract Australian players to the Melbourne Cup with a jackpot of $100 million, significantly overshadowing the $30 million offer with the base line of Oz Lotto.
“Lottoland Australia is disappointed, but we respect this decision, and we will work with the Australian government to implement the necessary changes in our business. We offer a valuable product and thanks to our innovations more than 650 000 Australians can continue to bet on the results of foreign lotteries. There are no restrictions on our international products”, – said in an official statement of Lottoland.
