DraftKings rolled out online betting in New Jersey

DraftKings and Resorts Casino Hotel became the first company to roll out mobile sports betting in New Jersey, an important milestone as legal sports wagers slowly spread through the United States.

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement gave approval to the casino and its Boston-based online partner to launch an invitation-only version of mobile sports betting, which will undergo several days of testing before becoming fully available. Requests for invitations can be made at draftkings.com.

Draftkings CEO Jason Robbins commented: “This invite-only period allows us to stress test the product and ensure it meets the high standards of the DGE, and ours. While there is no official date set for a public launch, this is one of the final steps required before we would be permitted to publicly launch the DraftKings Sportsbook in New Jersey”.
