Finland’s gambling monopoly Veikkaus has gone live with the entire online casino games library of major creator and supplier of content for the iGaming industry Yggdrasil.
The operator, which is owned by the Finnish government, is the only regulated gambling operator in the country and has more than two million registered customers. Around 700,000 of those play online weekly.
Following successful integration, Yggdrasil’s full portfolio of games will be made available to Veikkaus’ customers, including new releases ‘Lilith’s Inferno’, ‘Sahara Nights’ and ‘Golden Chip Roulette’, as well as the ever-popular ‘Vikings’ trilogy of games.
“Our customers are increasingly choosing to play online and on mobile, and we are thrilled to be able to add Yggdrasil’s impressive portfolio to our existing games offering. I’m very confident players will enjoy the excitement that Yggdrasil games bring to their screens,” said Jan Hagelberg, vice president of Veikkaus, Casino Games.

The news comes a day after Yggdrasil revealed it would be introducing a new game mechanic, Splitz, which the developer promises will add “infinite potential” to its slots.
The first game to feature the Splitz mechanic will be ‘Temple Stacks’, which will be released in January offers over 200,000 ways to win.
