Leading Finnish gambling operator Finnplay, which based in Helsinki, announced a deal with Red Sevens, having previously obtained a license for its Billfold platform from the Romanian authorities.
The Romanian gambling sector is estimated at more than one billion euros and, despite the fact that many licenses have already been issued, FinnPlay is confident that there are many opportunities for domestic and foreign operators on the market.
“The Romanian market is still in a growth phase since opening up a couple of years ago. With many of the existing land-based operators looking to go online, this is an opportunity for our business. The other is existing brands looking to enter further regulated markets within the European Union”, – stated Erkki Nikunen, Finnplay’s CMO.
