NFL will lift the ban on gambling advertising

The Professional League of American Football (NFL) plans to cancel the veto on advertising gambling and allow land-based casinos the opportunity to sponsor teams.

The decision was made by the NFL’s Business Ventures Committee, and the announcement was made by NFL Chief Media Officer Brian Rolapp at a business conference.

Even the NFL will allow casino sponsorships/advertising, US media reports that league governance will add a number of stipulations to partnerships, safeguarding franchise relationships with gambling enterprises.

Casinos will be allowed to use NFL team logos on advertising and promotional material. However, casinos will still be prohibited from explicitly advertising sportsbooks using the teams that are sponsored by them.
