Rush Street Interactive has been granted an online gaming licence to operate in the country. This news confirmed president of Colombian gaming regulator Coljuegos, Juan Perez Hidalgo.
As the 11th operator to be granted a licence, Rush Street has launched its rushbet.co sportsbook a week before the World Cup starts. One of the fastest growing online gaming operators in the United States has paid circa $14.2m for licence which will run for five years.
Rush Street officials believe that the insight gained from operating a regulated sports book in South America will further position the company for the future of online sports betting should it be legalised in other South American markets.
Richard Schwartz, president and co-founder of Rush Street Interactive, said: “We’re going to bring a lot of the functionality, excitement, and innovation, that has worked really well for us in New Jersey, to the Colombian market for the first time”.Follow us on
