Leading sports data, technology and intelligence firm Sportradar has secured a new exclusive partnership with New York-listed Pay-TV supplier Dish which will see it named as the company’s official sports data provider.
Sportradar will provide its data APIs from major sports leagues, including the NBA, MLB and NHL, across Dish platforms such as the Game Finder app, which gives customers up-to-the-minute box scores and updates from live games.
“DISH is a well-respected leader in the pay-TV space and has been a mainstay for consumers for nearly 40 years,” said Brian Josephs, vice president of digital sport at Sportradar.
“We look forward to working with Dish in providing fresh and enhanced sports data experiences for its loyal customers,” added Josephs.
In addition to supporting the Game Finder app, Sportradar will integrate sports data with the company’s Hopper family of receivers and the Dish Anywhere app.
The sports data company has secured several other deals this year. The biggest one was signed in February, when Sportradar, which is based in Switzerland but runs its U.S. operations out of Minneapolis, landed a multi-year contract with the Major League Baseball (MLB) to become the league’s exclusive data distributor for sports betting operators in the U.S.
