Swiss regulator expands blacklist of unlicenced gambling sites

Swiss gambling regulator the Inter-Cantonal Lotteries and Betting Commission (Comlot) has once again blocked access to a host of online gambling websites that target customers in Switzerland without a local licence.

This time, 10 more websites were added to the blacklist, which now contains a total of 87 websites that have been deemed illegal in Switzerland.

Bahigo178.com, Allsport365.com, Cryptobet.com and Coinbet24.com are among the latest addition to the blacklist. Three websites working under Forzza’s brand – Forzza1.com, Forzza2.com and Forzza3.com – are on the list, as have Runbet.com, Winx24.com and Solobet10.com.

The blacklist was first published in September following implementation of the country’s Federal Act on Real-Money Gaming (Geldspielgesetz). Article 86 allows Comlot to request internet service providers to block access to platforms that are accessible in Switzerland but not licenced, using a domain name server (DNS) lock.

This was the second time Comlot had updated the list since its initial publication. It already included high profile operators such as Interwetten, Pinnacle, Betclic Everest Group and Unibet.
