Scientific Games has secured a six-year extension to its instant games contract with the Texas Lottery. The new contract extends a supply agreement that dates back to the lottery’s inception 26 years ago until 2024. The Lone Star State decided to renew the contract based on the long relationship, giving SG another six years supplying the games.
“The Texas Lottery recognizes the continuous innovation that Scientific Games invests to create very marketable games that are not only enjoyed by our players, but help us make important contributions to education and veterans’ assistance in our state”, – Texas Lottery executive director Gary Grief said.
With a total contribution of $1.45bn to education and veterans’ assistance in the state in fiscal year 2018, the Texas Lottery has generated more than $1bn in revenue for Texas for 15 consecutive years and has experienced record sales for eight straight years.
The gaming company operates manufacturing facilities on four continents and supplies products that “generate more than 70 percent of U.S. instant game retail sales,” according to the press release. It now serves over 150 lotteries around the world.
