American company Caesars Entertainment Corp advanced in the construction of Caesars Korea, which will be the first Asian resort casino and will open the doors for visitors as early as 2021. The South Korean casino will also be the first gaming and touristic venue in the country that will be fully operated by an American company. The announced budget for this project is $700 million.
The owners of Caesars Korea told that they plan to combine on the territory of the resort gambling and a lot of non-gaming services. The Caesars Korea project will focus not only on the development of the casino, but will also offer guests a hotel, conference centers, an internal cinema, an amphitheater, shops, rescue centers and swimming pools.
William Shen, Caesars’s senior vice president and managing director, Korea and Japan, said: «The concern is it’s a foreigner-only casino; it doesn’t have domestic in the way Kangwon Land has tons and tons of visitors. I think our model is one where we want to emphasise non-gaming anyways: the non-gaming capabilities, the non-gaming offers that we have to showcase».
