The Coalition of Professional Ethics of Cybersport (ESIC) has signed a memorandum on bilateral exchange of information with the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) regarding the integrity and safety of eSports. This step is provided for the rapid growth rate of the popularity of cybersport disciplines.
Thanks to the signed memorandum, both ministries will act as two-way information channels regarding fraud and financial crimes in eSports. In addition, ESIC will act as an intermediary of large gambling regulators to strengthen and improve the level of protection by the law of cybersport disciplines at the world level. As well as signing the memorandum by the British regulator means that the UKGC recognizes e-sports as well as football, horse racing, tennis and other sports.
