Betfred Sportsradar Expand 10-Year Retail Partnership

Betfred has extended and expanded its Betfred Sportsradar partnership, reinforcing the decade-long collaboration with upgraded retail platform technology across all 1,300 UK betting shops. The deal arrives as the retail betting sector faces declining yields and impending tax increases.

The NASDAQ-listed Sportradar will deploy advanced transaction processing and risk management systems designed to handle high data volumes during major sporting events. The platform upgrade allows real-time scaling as bets are placed, ensuring operational resilience.

“This agreement re-affirms our joint commitment to one another, to develop new products and features that enhance our customer offerings,” said Duncan McDonald, Betfred’s Head of Corporate and Retail Support. “It future proofs our retail business and secures our partnership for years to come.”

Paolo Personeni, Sportradar’s EVP of Managed Betting Services, highlighted the strategic positioning: “In today’s hyper-competitive marketplace Sportradar is well positioned to help Betfred achieve its long-term growth objectives.”

The Betfred Sportsradar expansion follows Betfred ‘s recognition as ‘Best Football Product’ at the 2026 Oddschecker Awards. Sportradar brings credentials as a trusted partner to FIFA, UEFA, NBA, and the PGA Tour.

This investment signals confidence in retail betting’s future despite UK Gambling Commission data showing sector decline and April’s online gaming tax increases expected to impact high-street operations.
