The FA stop using bookmakers as sponsors

The Football Association of clubs of the English Premier League (AFA) is considering the decision to end cooperation with bookmakers as sponsors.

The issue on the agenda is not new – he got up in 2014 after the adoption of the new rules. According to the innovations, it is forbidden to bet players of clubs participating in football leagues of England.

A new surge of conflict occurred after the disqualification of “Burnley” midfielder Joey Barton for 18 months for violating the new rules. After his removal, Mr. Barton said that if the AFA is so serious about the fight against gambling, then they themselves need to stop being dependent on the bookmakers.
