The profit of the lottery in Thailand amounted $378 million for 2016

Thai authorities provided a financial report, according to which the profit of the lottery for 2016 amounted to USD 378 million, and 2,614 people were detained in connection with violation of the rules.

Earlier tickets were double and sold at USD 1.17 for each, but it was decided to abandon such a system due to the increase in the number of fraud. A new single ticket will cost USD 2.34. According to director of the Government Lottery of Thailand (GLO) Mr. Chalongrat, tickets of the new format will have a clearer watermark, and a single bar code will simplify the authentication.
