The EU intends to develop common standards for all EU countries in the way that gambling legislation in many European countries differs substantially from one another at the current time. The European Parliament plans to adopt a bill that will force issuing banks to provide information about the age of the client and his payment capacity.
In the beginning of June, the deputies of the European Parliament will consider a number of bills aimed at cooperation of the member countries of the European Union in the field of gambling.
An important issue will be given to the sphere of online games, which is developing rapidly and successfully in Europe. According to estimates of experts, online games generate more than 10 percent of the entire turnover of gambling business on the continent. One of the main tasks of parliamentarians is the maximum protection of vulnerable segments of the population, especially minors.
