LeoVegas will pay a fine of 600,000 pounds

The Swedish developer of mobile gambling LeoVegas has incurred the wrath of the U.K. Gambling Commission and is being forced to pay a penalty of £600,000.

Between April 2017 and January 2018, LeoVegas and its affiliates released 41 advertisements that the UKGC found to be misleading. 31 of them did not contain enough information about the terms and conditions of promotional offers, and 10 of them were found to be too unclear.

In response to the fine, the company issued a statement saying it had, ”high ambitions for compliance with laws and regulations”, and will continuously work to improve processes in this area in the future, a statement supported by the Commission’s acknowledgment that the required changes had been made to address all issues.
