Norway’s state-owned gaming operator Norsk Tipping has secured a ten-year contract extension with London-listed gaming technology provider Playtech.
The partnership sees Playtech’s Videobet subsidiary continuing to provide Norsk Tipping with system technology for the operator’s video lottery terminal (VLT) gaming system. The long-running partnership between Playtech and Norsk Tipping began in 2003, with Videobet’s VLT products and services currently available in more than 1,000 retail outlets across Norway.
Shimon Akad, COO, Playtech, commented: “For more than 15 years we have successfully supported Norsk Tipping in delivering a VLT programme for the Norwegian market. We are excited to continue supporting them in the next 10 years, ensuring their VLT programme remains fit for the market and provides a long-term sustainable offering that also caters to new generations of players”.
Hans Erland Ringsvold, Head of Gaming operations, Norsk Tipping, added: “We are very happy with the technology and services provided by Playtech and the Videobet team. We are confident that their VLT technology coupled with their professional expertise and experience from a wide range of markets will continue to provide great value for Norsk Tipping and ensure that we can fulfil our future VLT strategy and business objectives”.
