UK online gambling operator Bet365 has made its official launch into Mexico’s digital market via the Bet365.mx domain. The company formed a partnership with ‘Ganador Azteca’, the gambling subsidiary of Mexican national broadcaster TV Azteca, second largest media firm in the country behind Televisa.
‘Ganador Azteca’ has a 25-years licence awarded in September 2018 from Mexico’s gambling regulator Dirección General de Juegos y Sorteos (DGJS) which permits operating a land-based casino in Yanga Municipality in the state of Veracruz. However, the license also cleared the company to launch an igaming offering.
The Mexican launch sees bet365 continue to expand its Latin American and South American market profiles. This June, it was revealed that bet365 was amongst the ten international operators competing to secure one-of-seven Buenos Aires online gambling licences, partnering with local bingo operator Pasteko SA.
Bet365 joins a number of other international igaming operators and suppliers in launching a Mexican offering. Spain’s Codere is already live under the Codere.mx domain, having originally launched its International Game Technology-powered offering under the Greenplay.mx URL. Playtech is also active in the market, powering local operator Caliente’s offering.
