One of the world’s leading bookmaker Betclic wants to return to the online gambling market in Poland despite the company last year being blacklisted for breaching national laws.
Betclic had been regarded as one of the leading operators in Poland for a number of years, but was cast out of the market when new gambling laws came into effect in 2017. Poland dropped out a number of other operators including the likes of Betfair, William Hill, Pinnacle and EnergyBet.
Poland’s Ministry of Finance also added Betclic to its blacklist of companies that are blocked from offering gambling services in the country. But Betclic could soon reappear in Poland after BEM Operations, a subsidiary of the Betclic Everest Group, secured a national sports betting licence.
