Betsson has made a significant move in the North American gaming market by acquiring Rhino Entertainment Group’s Canadian B2C business and B2B technology assets for a total of USD $74 million. The deal includes an initial payment of USD $58.8 million upon closing, with the remaining balance to be paid over the following six months.
This acquisition comes as part of Betsson’s strategy to strengthen its foothold in Canada. Rhino Entertainment Group launched its operations in 2020 and has established several Canadian brands, including Casino Days. By integrating Rhino’s assets, Betsson aims to enhance its product offerings and expand its customer base in this competitive market. As Johan Persson, CEO of Betsson AB, stated, “This acquisition aligns with our growth strategy and reflects our commitment to strengthening our presence in the Canadian gaming market.”
The purchase of the assets of Rhino Entertainment is expected to provide Betsson with advanced technology and a robust portfolio of brands, contributing to its ongoing expansion efforts. With this acquisition, Betsson joins the ranks of major players in the North American gaming industry, positioning itself for future growth and innovation.
