Maltese online gaming operator Betway announced the signing of an agreement with the Spanish football club “Leganes”. The deal is signed for two football seasons – 2018/19 and 2019/20. The Betway logo appearing on the front of the official team kits and in the stadium.
It marks the company’s first move into the Spanish football sponsorship market, having been the principal sponsor of English Premier League side West Ham United since 2015.The operator also serves as the betting partner of German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen and Belgian champions RSC Anderlecht.
Betway CEO, Anthony Werkman, stated: “CD Leganés play in one of the most popular leagues in the world and we couldn’t be happier with this sponsorship agreement with them for the next two seasons”.
