Colombian gambling regulator Coljuegos announced that Italian gambling operator HBG Gaming Group had received a five-year license to offer online sports betting and casino games via its AguiJuego brand.
Aquijuego.co becomes the eleventh licensed iGaming site in the market, joining fellow licensees Wplay, Betplay.com, Colbet, Zamba, Codere, Mijugada, Masgol, Luckia, Sportium and Rushbet. Finally HBG will roll out a network of retail points of sale to support the new website. The company called the Colombia launch “the first step in the internationalization strategy of the HBG Gaming Group” and the company’s first “big opportunity” to make a name for itself on the global stage.
Colombia moved to legalise online gaming in October 2016 and has since handed out a series of licences to a number of companies.
